Vaginal Candidiasis

vaginal candidiasisVaginal Candidiasis is an infection of the vagina which is commonly referred to as vaginal thrush. This vaginal infection is caused by an overgrowth of yeast known as candida.

The yeast, candida resides in places such as your mouth, intestines and vagina with little to no sign as long as it is balanced with the other microorganisms that are in your body. The problems begin whenever your body is knocked off balance, and your immune system is not strong enough to take care of things.

The imbalance of these microorganisms can be caused by many things. If you have taken antibiotics, are pregnant, or douche then you are a prime candidate to have vaginal thrush.  The belief that vaginal candidiasis is a sexually transmitted infection is simply not true.

At least seventy five percent of women suffers from yeast infection in the vagina sometime throughout their lifetime. There are most likely more women that have dealt with vaginal thrush, but since they are shy about going to their doctor, they are not included in the statistics.

If you are worried that you may be suffering from vaginal candidiasis, you should speak with your doctor. Some women try to treat this problem with over the counter medications, but studies show that two thirds of the women that do actually have another vaginal problem, and are treating the wrong problem.

Your doctor is not embarrassed to speak with you about this issue and you should not be embarrassed either.  When you go to your doctor they will do a vaginal exam, and a swab test of the vaginal discharge that you are putting out. Then they will be able to tell you whether you are suffering from vaginal thrush, or some other infection in your vagina.

Signs That You May Have Vaginal Candidiasis

  • Itching
  • Burning
  • Painful Sex
  • Pain During Urination

Besides for the above signs that you may have vaginal candidiasis a swollen and red vulva could be thrown into the mix. The vulva is the tissue around the vagina.

Some people use anti-fungal pills or vaginal suppositories to treat vaginal candidiasis, but these are not the best way to go about it. If you want to cure your vaginal candidiasis, you should look into a product that will balance your yeast and bacteria levels as well as boost your immune system.

I highly recommend that you check out a product called Alaczen.
